About Dr. George Hatzigiannis
Dr. George Hatzigiannis received his AB cum laude in biology from Harvard College and DMD from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He subsequently studied for his MD at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, after which he completed his general surgery residency at the UConn Health Center. During this period, Dr. George Hatzigiannis was also in the process of fulfilling his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMS).
Professionally, Dr. George Hatzigiannis opened a private oral surgery practice in Massachusetts after completing his postgraduate education. He also spent a year treating the underserved through work with health centers throughout New England.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hatzigiannis has pursued a range of continuing education opportunities to keep his skills current. His interests include pathology, trauma, dental implants and minimally invasive dentoalveolar surgery, where has has both taken the most courses, and lectured extensively.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
